Understanding Terms.
SEEN/SCENE: The scene if the crime. The place. The location.
Something seen by the viewer.
DENOTATIVE: The literal meaning and significance of any element in the image.
CONNOTATIVE: The imposition of second meanings on the photographic message proper. A series of visual language or codes which are themselves the reflection of a wider, under laying process of signification within the culture.(Graham Clark. The Photograph)

FLANEUR: A stroller in the city.
A detached observer, a part of but apart from the city. (Baudelaire)
A person who walks the city in order to experience it. (Baudelaire)
